About Pop-Up Productions
JAC Pop-Up Productions is designed for seasoned young actors eager for a theatrical program modeling a professional-style performance environment. This opportunity is an exciting way for performers to experience the commitment, dedication, and creative standards of the industry, preparing them for more advanced theatrical projects.
We are opening this program with a Sesaonal Pop-Up of Charlie Brown Christmas for grades 3-8 but plan to expand the program to include opportunities for high school actors, training workshops and more!
How does PUP differ from JAC's regular season
AUDITIONS- Auditions will be open to as many actors that want to try out but we will only accept the number needed for that specific pop-up. If your actor is new to theatre and is in middle or elementary school, we suggest trying our regular season first. For regular season shows, registration is first come, first serve and auditions are held for role placement only
COMMITMENT- Actors accepted into a pop-up production will need to follow a strict attendance policy. In our regular season, a few absences are accepted and there is more flexibility
TIME FRAME- From auditions to rehearsals to showtime, the time frame will be much shorter than our regular season. Shows will be taught quickly to demonstrate professional standards of being prepared and focused for rehearsals

Open to actors Grades 3-8. Accepting between 15-20 actors
Auditions October 27th
Callbacks October 29th
Mandatory Rehearsals Tues/Thurs 5:30-8:00
(some actors may be asked to stay until 8:30 on select nights)
November 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19
December 1, 3, 8, 10
Mandatory Tech December 14-17
Performances December 18-20
What to Prepare for Auditions
Step 1- Fill out the Audition form
Step 2- Pick your audition time slot or submit a self tape to productions@junioractorscompany.com by 10/27 at 5pm
Step 3- Prepare a 30-60 second musical selection. Must perform to a backing track, not a cappella
Step 4- Prepare a 60-90 second monologue
Step 5- If coming in person, please come with a headshot and resume
Step 6- save the date for Callbacks October 29th 5:30-8:30 (not all actors will receive a callback)
