Meet the Director

Mary Janus

Mary grew up active in the industry on the east coast (Boston, NYC, and Chicago). She started studying piano at age 4 and performing at age 7. She was known for working in new works/workshops of both musicals and plays, for her power mix, and for her advanced acting abilities. Having won several awards for her performances, she became known and respected in New England and Tri-state area and started teaching, directing and music directing professionally as early as late high school. She then attended Chicago College of Performing Arts for Musical Theatre, The Hartt Conservatory of Music, Dance, and Theatre for Musical Theatre, and University of San Diego for Acting and Music. During her studies she still performed, directed, produced, wrote, and composed professionally at local, regional, national, and international levels. Mary is newly married and has a cute therapy mini-sheepadoodle named Mike, after Mike Wazowski from Monster’s Inc.
